Tyler Madeira
Assistant Coach
Two-time all-conference forward Tyler Madeira joined the Muhlenberg men's soccer coaching staff for the 2021 season.
Madeira played four years at Bloomsburg University, finishing his career with 39 points on 17 goals and 5 assists. He earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team twice, making the second team as a junior and the first team as a senior. Madeira led the Huskies with 10 goals in 2018, becoming the first Bloomsburg player in 15 years to record a hat trick. Madeira attended nearby Parkland High School.
Todd Ervin
Assistant Coach
One of the top players in Muhlenberg soccer history, Todd Ervin returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2019.
Ervin was one of the stars of the great Mule soccer teams of the mid-1990s. A forward and midfielder, he was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team three straight years (1995-97) and finished his career with 90 points (eighth all-time) on 31 goals and 28 assists. Ervin also earned all-region honors twice, making the first team in 1997 after scoring 39 points – the most by a Mule in the last 30 years.
Muhlenberg compiled a record of 60-13-10 during Ervin's career and won three CC championships. He scored five career postseason goals, with three coming in 1-0 NCAA Tournament wins – the most notable in triple overtime at Messiah in 1995 during the Mules' run to the national semifinals.
Ervin was inducted into the Muhlenberg College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
A 1998 graduate of Muhlenberg, Ervin was head men's coach at Moravian College from 2009 to 2017, leading the Greyhounds to an ECAC Tournament berth in 2016, their first postseason bid in 14 years. He also was head women's coach at Cedar Crest College for two seasons and spent two years the head coach of the Pennsylvania Stoners of the National Premier Soccer League. His 2008 Stoners team won the NPSL national championship.
Ervin has both his United Soccer Coaches National and Advanced National diplomas, having graduated with distinction.
Kyle Grim
Assistant Coach
Kyle Grim has served as goalkeepers coach at Muhlenberg since 2013.
A graduate of nearby Emmaus High School, Grim played at Bloomsburg University in 2002 and 2003. He has coached the goalkeepers on the Emmaus boys team for eight years and the girls team for five.
Grim, who holds an NSCAA Goalkeeping 1 diploma and a USSF D license, also coaches the keepers for the LVU Sonic of the National Premier Soccer League.
